Maintenance Instructions:
1) Regularly vacuum out the bottom track and clear it of all debris, leaves, dust, pet hair, etc., especially next to the magnetic profile.
2) Several times a year, spray a bead of Lemon Pledge furniture polish into the top and bottom tracks (once they are vacuumed and clean). This will help the pull bar glide smoothly in the tracks.
3) For the frame and screen, wipe with mild, soapy water and rinse with a clean damp towel. Do not hose down the mesh as water can collect in the door housing.
4) Finally, the best way to preserve and care for your PrimAire® Retractable Screen Door is to keep the screen retracted when not in use so that the housing will do the job of protecting your screen.
5) FOR DOUBLE DOORS: Always retract both screens when not in use to preserve the screens on both sides.
Troubleshooting:
1) In the event the Pull Bar is dislodged from the tracks, first make sure there are no wrinkles in the screen that may have retracted onto the roll by pulling out the screen until you are able to let it smoothly roll back into the housing with no wrinkles. Then tilt the pull bar diagonally to re-set it into the tracks.
2) If the pull bar ever feels difficult to glide, make sure the tracks are clean and then spray Lemon Pledge furniture polish liberally into the top and bottom tracks.
Operating Instructions (single doorway):
1) Always keep the screen retracted when not in use, to preserve the screen.
2) When operating the screen door, push the handle evenly across the doorway until the magnets meet.
3) When releasing the magnet to retract the screen, pull the handle towards you and over to more easily separate the magnets. Then, guide the handle back evenly, allowing the screen to retract back into the aluminum housing.
Operating Instructions (double doorway):
1) Always keep both screens retracted when not in use, to preserve the screen on both sides.
2) When operating the screen door, always operate the “locking” side of the doorway first by pushing the handle evenly across the doorway until the lock pins automatically click into place.
3) Next, operate the “active” side of the doorway by pushing the handle evenly across the doorway until the magnets meet.
4) When releasing the magnet to go in and out of the doorway, pull the handle towards you and push the “locking” side away from you to separate the magnets (otherwise you will be fighting the magnet). Then, guide the handle back evenly, retracting the screen back into the aluminum housing.
5) To retract the “locking” side, hold the handle of the bar and then turn the Lock Nob ¼ turn clockwise, releasing the lock pins and guide the handle back evenly, retracting the screen back into the aluminum housing.
Warranty
Easy Breeze Retractable Screen Doors are warrantied against defects in material or workmanship and shall conform to specifications when used for residential purposes only, and installed at the location shown on the original invoice for as long as the original purchaser owns/resides at that location. The word “defects,” as used in this warranty, is defined as imperfections which impair the utility of the product. This warranty expressly excludes the screen mesh. Screen mesh warranty is for (1) one year against defects in the material only.
This warranty is limited to components, excluding mesh, that have defects. If the product component is defective within the terms of the warranty, Easy Breeze Retractable Screen Doors will, at its option, replace or repair the component at no cost, including labor for a period of one year from the date of installation. Thereafter, labor charges will apply to any warranty work.
This is Easy Breeze Retractable Screen Doors entire liability and the customer’s sole and exclusive remedy in lieu of all others. This warranty applies under conditions of normal use, but does not apply to defects that result from:
- Failure to perform periodic maintenance.
- Improper operating or handling.
- Unauthorized repairs and/or installations.
- Weather related or “Acts of God”.
In relation to any claim under this warranty shipping of the product or replacement parts both from the customer to Easy Breeze Retractable Screens and from Easy Breeze Retractable Screens to the customer is the financial responsibility of the customer. If customer does not have a box sufficient for return of the product Easy Breeze Retractable Screens will provide a box at the customer’s expense. If at the company’s election the product is replaced it is the responsibility of the customer to return the defective product to Easy Breeze Retractable Screens. Failure to do so in a timely manner shall void this warranty. Any claim under this warranty must be made in writing to Easy Breeze Retractable Screens within 30 days after the owner discovers the circumstances giving rise to any such claim, and must include a copy of this warranty document.
Liability for any damages, including but not limited to general, special, indirect, incidental, consequential, aggravated, punitive or exemplary damages, and economic loss, as well as for breach of any expressed or implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, quality and fitness for any purpose other than as expressly stated herein, is disclaimed and excluded herefrom, to the extent that such disclaimer and exclusions are permitted by law.
